CARING FOR THE TEAR DROP SERIES:
To remove residue from the glass, we recommend adding a drop or two of bleach to each vase, along with a little water, and allowing it to sit for a while. Then, run each vase under hot water to flush everything out. If any residue is stuck inside, fold the end of a pipe cleaner into a U shape (this helps avoid scratching the glass with the metal core) and gently scrub the interior. If the silver has tarnished, use toothpaste with a paper towel, cotton swab, or soft-bristled toothbrush to clean it. Do not use toothpaste on anything gold plated; only use soap and water.
JEWELRY CARE
RFORM STUDIO : MADE BY HAND
Due to the handcrafted nature of our jewelry, subtle variations may occur.
GENERAL CARE
Remove jewelry when bathing, exercising, sleeping, or cleaning. Always avoid excess moisture, and remember to store your pieces properly in an airtight container when you are not wearing them. It is normal for metal finishes including plating to change color with time and exposure to the elements, but contact with liquid or other substances can expedite this process.
STERLING SILVER
Gently polish with a jewelry polishing cloth or briefly submerge sterling silver pieces in a glass container of tarnish remover (be careful not to get this carcinogenic liquid on your hands), rinse with water and dry fully to bring back original luster.
18K GOLD PLATED
Gently clean with mild dish soap and a soft brush but please do not polish! Gold plating can actually be removed with polishing. Once completely dry, store your pieces in an airtight container, such as a ziplock bag, to avoid oxidization.
MOTHER OF PEARL
Wipe with a soft cotton cloth. Avoid exposure to moisture. Mother of pearl can scratch easily. It is recommend to put on Mother of pearl pieces after applying hairspray, perfume, or other cosmetics, as it can be sensitive to chemical contact.
GEMSTONES
Gently clean with mild dish soap and a soft brush.
